Reserve an NVM subsystem ID used on the S-VOL for a resource group on the secondary storage system.

The NVM subsystems for which the namespaces of the P-VOL and the S-VOL are defined must have the same NVM subsystem ID. Specify the same NVM subsystem ID as the NVM subsystem with the namespace of the P-VOL defined for the NVM subsystem ID used for the S-VOL.

If the same NVM subsystem ID as the one for the P-VOL is already used on the secondary storage system, specify a different NVM subsystem ID. When an NVM subsystem is created, specify the same NVM subsystem ID as the one for the P-VOL for a virtual NVM subsystem ID.

For details about how to set a virtual NVM subsystem ID, see Creating an NVM subsystem.

Reserve an NVM subsystem ID (1) for a resource group (HAGroup1).
raidcom add resource -resource_name HAGroup1 -nvm_subsystem_id 1 -IH1
Check command and output examples
  1. Verify that the NVM subsystem ID is reserved for the resource group (HAGroup1).
  2. Verify that the resource group ID (1) of HAGroup1 with the NVM subsystem ID reserved is displayed for RGID.
    raidcom get nvm_subsystem -nvm_subsystem_id 1 -key detail -IH1
