The following describes how to perform pair operations using commands that begin with raidcom. For details about the commands and supported models, see the Command Control Interface Command Reference.

Notes:
  • Perform operations on the target pair and volumes by specifying the actual LDEV ID or the actual LDEV ID and mirror ID. When you perform operations per consistency group, specify a pair in the consistency group and the -range_group option.
  • You cannot perform pair operations by specifying the group name of the pair.
  • You can also use embedded CCI for this task.
  • You do not need to define the target volume in the configuration definition file.
  • Specify the LDEV ID in decimal or hexadecimal format.

When specifying LDEV ID:10 (decimal) in decimal format:

    -ldev_id 10

When specifying LDEV ID:10 (decimal) in hexadecimal format:

    -ldev_id 0xA

The following sections describe how to create or operate on the configuration shown in Global-active device system configuration. The following figure shows the required parameters for running commands.
