Checking data reduction achieved using the capacity saving

By checking the result of data reduction, you can check the overall effectiveness of the storage system.

Make sure that the user performing the procedure is assigned the Storage Administrator (View Only) role.

Check the result of data reduction by using the following screens.
  • Data reduction for the entire storage system: View the Data Reduction report on the dashboard.

    Displays the reduction in stored data volume achieved by using the storage system's capacity saving feature (deduplication and compression).

  • Data reduction for each pool: Click a pool name in the Pools inventory to display the details page.

    Displays the reduction in stored data volume achieved by using the capacity saving feature (deduplication and compression).
