If the automatic backup performed by the storage system becomes unavailable, you can manually restore the encryption keys from the backup file.

  • You must have the Security Administrator (View & Modify) role.
  • Make sure that a key management server is not linked.
  • Make sure that the latest backup file exists.
  1. From the navigation tree, select Settings > Data At Rest Encryption > Encryption Keys.
  2. From the vertical ellipsis menu at the top right of the page, click Restore Encryption Keys from file.
  3. Specify the required items, and then click Submit.

For Password, enter the password you set when you created the backup.

For Backup file used for restore, specify the latest backup file.

  4. Verify that the encryption keys were restored.
