Backing up encryption keys as a file on the management client

You can back up encryption keys used for data encryption as a file on the management client. If you cannot use backups automatically acquired by the storage system, you will need the backup file when restoring encryption keys.

Note: Even if the key backup fails, the number of backups may increase.
  • You must have the Security Administrator (View & Modify) role.
  • Make sure that a key management server is not linked.
  1. From the navigation tree, select Settings > Data at Rest Encryption > Encryption Keys.
  2. From the vertical ellipsis menu at the top right of the page, click Backup Encryption Keys to File.
  3. Specify the required items, and then click Submit.
  4. Make sure that the backup file is saved on the management client.
