Detaching volumes from a server

If a server no longer needs to use a specific volume, you can detach that volume from the server.

Obtain the following:
- Server name
- Volume name
Make sure that the user performing the procedure has been assigned the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.

From the navigation tree, select Storage > Servers.
From the inventory of servers, select the checkboxes for the servers to which the volumes are attached, and then click Detach Volumes in the action bar.

You can select multiple servers and detach volumes from those servers at the same time. However, only volumes that are attached to all of the selected servers will be detached.
Select one or more volumes and detach them.

You can select multiple volumes and detach them at the same time.
