Attaching volumes to servers by selecting volumes

You can attach an existing volume to a server by selecting a server from the volume page.

Note: If a host group (or iSCSI target) that was assigned to a virtual storage machine was added to the server by using another management tool, you cannot attach volumes to the server using VSP One Block Administrator.

Obtain the following:
- Server name
- Volume name
Make sure that the user performing the procedure has been assigned the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.

From the navigation tree, select Storage > Volumes.
From the inventory of volumes, select the checkboxes for the volumes to be configured, and then click Attach Servers in the action bar.

You can select multiple volumes and attach servers to those volumes at the same time.
Select one or more servers to which the volumes will be attached.

Volumes for which Attached Unmanaged is displayed for the volume type are volumes that were attached by using management software other than VSP One Block Administrator.
