You can add a WWN or iSCSI initiator name when you add HBAs or configure a cluster by adding servers. For cluster configurations, you must register all of the servers (nodes) that make up the cluster as one server. In this case, when specifying the WWNs or iSCSI initiator names to use for connecting to storage system ports, add all of the WWNs or iSCSI initiator names of each server.

Note:

When ESM load is high, this operation takes time to complete, so the processing might stop due to a session timeout. If a session timeout occurs, check the configuration and status of the target resources of the operation.

  • Obtain the following:
    • Server name
    • WWN or iSCSI initiator name to be added

The total number of WWNs or iSCSI initiator names that can be added to a server is 32.

  • Make sure that the user performing the procedure has been assigned the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.
  1. From the navigation tree, select Storage > Servers.
  2. From the inventory of servers, select the checkbox for the target server, and then click Edit Server.
  3. Add a WWN or an iSCSI initiator name.
  4. Click the server name to open the details page, and then verify that the WWN or iSCSI initiator name was added.
