Shows troubleshooting workflow for backup operations on open server
  1. Check the Task Scheduler return code.
    About the return code:
    • Return codes are displayed in the Last Run Result column in the Task Scheduler Library table of the Windows Task Scheduler window. For example, the return code is 0 when The operation completed successfully. (0x0) message is shown.
    • Windows Task Scheduler reports the return code in hexadecimal format. Convert the value into decimal format, and then compare it to the return code described below.
  2. When the return code is 1, or when the status code is not returned (there is no execution history)
    Affected functionality:
Task invocation from Windows Task Scheduler.
    Action:
Check settings of the following components to identify possible causes of the task execution failure. See Editing the MF‑Plugin settings in the Hitachi Mainframe Cyber Resiliency User Guide.
  3. When the return code is 85001 to 85004, or 85006 to 85100
    Affected functionality:
    Automator service invocation.
    Action:
Check the corresponding error message described in CR Scripts and MF‑Plugin error messages section and take corrective action as described in the Solution column. The return code corresponds to the numeric part of the message ID.
The following sections cover the relevant settings for the possible error cause of these return codes. See Editing the MF‑Plugin settings in the Hitachi Mainframe Cyber Resiliency User Guide.
  4. When the return code is 85005, or 85101 to 85199
    Affected functionality:
    Interaction with File Conversion Utility.
    Action:
Check the corresponding error message described in CR Scripts and MF‑Plugin error messages section and take corrective action as described in Solution column. The return code corresponds to the numeric part of the message ID.
The following section cover the relevant settings for the possible error cause of these return codes. See Editing the MF‑Plugin settings in the Hitachi Mainframe Cyber Resiliency User Guide.
