The backup management table volume workflow which is drilled down from the backup management table volume data step is shown in the following diagram.


The workflow is divided into the following steps:

  1. Backup management table
  2. Unlock management table

The recovery method depends on the steps that failed, as follows:

  1. Failed in backup management table step
    Create backup data for management table.
    Solution to a problem:

  2. Failed in unlock management table step
    Unlock management table lock.
    Solution to a problem:

    Recovery method:
    Manually unlock the management table lock. See Unlock the retained management table lock.
