The accessory kit includes the following cables:
- RJ-45 to DB-9 serial adapter cable
- RJ-45 Ethernet cable
The front panel of the switch contains the console, management, and USB ports. The following figure shows the ports on the front panel.
Connect the front or rear panel ports as follows:
- Console (serial) port: Connect to a PC with the RJ-45 to DB-9 serial adapter cable.
The switch uses the following default settings on this port:
Baud rate: 9600 bps
Flow control: none
Stop bit: 1
Parity bits: none
Data bits: 8
- Ethernet management port: Connect to a 10/100/1000 management network with an RJ-45 Ethernet cable.
- USB port: The USB port can be used for software or configuration updates.
