The following table lists the functions of the environment configuration commands.

YKALCSVC

Registers the user SVC.

YKSETENV

Sets the following environment variables:

  • Host ID
  • Prefix for the license information dataset
  • BCM log output method
  • Whether CLI command-execution logs are output to SYSLOG or the console

YKDSPENV

Displays the specified Business Continuity Manager environment variables and the program product name.

To use environment configuration commands, perform one of the procedures below. Before performing either procedure, perform the procedure described in section Settings for using CLI commands in TSO/E environments.

  • Link the HDSYPRCT cataloged procedure library to the IEFPDSI DD name of the MSTJCLxx parmlib member.
  • Copy the YKALCSVC member, YKSETENV member, and YKDSPENV member from the HDSYPRCT cataloged procedure library to the user's PROCLIB.

Once you have added these commands in the COMMNDxx parmlib member, it is automatically executed at the time of an IPL.
